I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Waterloo in 2016, and completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2020.
Since 2017, I have worked as an Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) therapist at a private Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) center. There, I worked with families and their children ages (3- 18 years old) with developmental disorders in managing and adjusting maladaptive behaviours and learning appropriate skills.
I now practice as a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, Canada. I integrate my behaviour background with Cognitive Therapy techniques to implement multi-modal approaches in cultivating an individualized treatment plan. I currently support children & adolescents in processing internal emotional processes and develop effective self-regulation skills. As well as support adults in various psychosocial, emotional, and cultural struggles.
I am a young Chinese-Canadian who uses a holistic and multi-theory, person-centered approach to counselling.
As an approachable, compassionate and effective Registered Psychotherapist, I offer a variety of Positive Psychology services under the umbrella of Cognitive Behaviour Theory (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Relational-Attachment Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
